if you use very low data, like under 2 gb, then yes you could save money by not having unlimited data

do you have to make any sacrifices in order to keep your data down?

I used to be on a 2GB data plan, but I would have to always make sure I was on Wi-Fi, never stream videos when I wasn't on Wi-Fi, check my usage constantly,

i'm a tenant of an elderly woman's house and there's only one phone line occupied by her.

paying to dig and set up a separate phone line is like a thousand or two let alone the fact i have to convince her to allow me to do it in the first place.

so yeah i only have wireless broadband with a shitty upload and wildly fluctuating speeds dependent on time of day but still, i'm surprised how long 1TB lasts and i don't really feel limited.
technically it's limitless but my speeds are capped to 512kbps if i go over 1TB which hasn't happened yet.

I personally like watching videos on my phone. a laptop or a big screen is always better, but if I'm laying in bed or on the go, it's nice

I got it basically as a backup in case I decide to go crazy and cancel my internet at home. Or for complete comfort that my Google Maps will always be high functioning when out and about.

No, the only time I use data away from wi-fi is when I stream radio on my walks, and the throttled speed after I use up the little high speed I get is fast enough for that.
