Just wondering since that seems to be the only sin right wing christians harp on the most...well that and abortions but they never seem say anything about gluttony or greed or lust?

are there such things as some sins are worse than others in the bible?

I personally think eating pork is the biggest sin. Look at a pig deep into his eyes, feels his soul gently caress your soul. Know that with love, you and that pig could be one entity. You could raise a family.

But Christians disregard that part of the bible and continue to eat pork.

Those bitches come out maiming their mothers, sometimes even tearing the skin that seperates the anus and the vagina. If I did that to a woman I would be sent to jail, meanwhile a baby gets a nice warm blanket and a titty to suck on.

My guess is that it's because it's a "sin" they aren't a part of. "I'm greedy, gluttonous, and lustful but God forgives that because I don't wanna go to Hell!"

If being gay is "worse" then that means they can look down on someone while patting themselves in the back for being "better".

In old school Abrahamic religions, heterosexual adultery is considered just as bad and its spelled out more often. Sodomy instead of homosexuality itself is whats spelled out in reference to Sodom and Gomorrah. So, basically only vaginal sex between husband and wife is a-ok.

According to the New Testament, all sins are equal. Hating a man in your mind is the same as killing him.

That said, I think the Bibles so-called condemnation of homosexuality is overblown. The verses modern American Evangelists cite to support the idea tend not to say what they think theyre saying.

And it seems, for them, to be a major aspect of Christianity. Which it clearly isnt. Its just present-day right-wing hate speech.

but from the apostle paul

100% this. Its absolutely just trying to be better than someone else. Which I think would fall under the sin of Pride, but whatever.

I remember reading something from a rabbi who said that long ago (I think thousands of years ago when the Torah was written) homosexual relationships were generally non-consensual or involved an immoral power dynamic. He said that because this isn't true today, homosexuality should no longer be considered a sin.

They are not the word of God.

Homosexuality in the Bible is also very weak. The whole "man should not lie with a man like a woman" thing was just Leviticus trying to make sure the Israelites didn't behave similar to Caananites & Egyptians.

There is about 0 condemnation of homosexuality by gospels of Jesus.

Most condemnation of homosexuality was that of pederasty, i.e. NAMBLA shit.
