Yeah, does anyone have a good article or synopsis of why employees hate Naughty Dog now? Been out of the loop on that I guess.

Naughty Dog has had issues of overworking employees since, I think, Uncharted 4?

But this time they've overworked employees AND from what I understand they aren't giving them compensation for working overtime.

Biggest spoiler of all though: the gameplay will be as bland and unfun as in the first game, and the world about as uninteresting.

The multiplayer was one of the best online gameplays ever, especially on console where aiming wasn't as easy.

I also thought the single player was really fun with its dynamic AI system. But I recognize that it would age really badly, I really don't care to play a game like that again today.

I think the stealth aspects of the gameplay hold up somehow, while the shooting and crafting stuff having aged rather poorly and the controls overall not feeling too well.

Yeah, I think whenever you were stealthing in this game and Ellie starts to run around the fungus head zombie like a crackhead and it doesn't react but when you take a step out it tries to murder you really holds up.

I would heavily prefer if they made something that didn't completely take out any immersion from tense stealth sequences by not having Ellie throw herself on top of the enemies you're supposed to be hiding from in a comical fashion.

I've got the game but haven't started it, but I'm optimistic it controls better than Rule of Rose and the first Fatal Frame.

In any case, it was mostly a gameplay comment. I think the stealth mechanics are still enjoyable today.

they definitely have no right to do that

youtubers never signed any NDA deal. once something is out in the public, discussing it is fair game. and even if they have ,say, a picture, or a very small amount of footage accompanying the discussion, it falls under fair use. (but i do believe most of the videos that were taken down had nothing whatsoever)

this is just Naughty dog abusing youtube's broken system.

I guess that changes things a bit, but I still have no real sympathy for the Youtubers in question. Very first video I found complaining about it was like "This happened to me before with Game X and Game Y and Game Z and Game 55 and..." and it's like... Uh, the system is broken, you know it's broken, so why are you still surprised?

Like, I get the appeal of making a quick buck on Youtube over leaks, but it's Youtube. Youtube is busted. Everybody knows this by now.

I dont necessarily have sympathy for the Youtubers, but I do feel animosity toward Naughty Dog for making false claims.

I mean...everyone knows the system is broken, but still, for the most part, MOST companies (especially big, acclaimed ones like Naughty Dog) dont really stoop to abusing it. that's why this usually causes a lot of backlash when it happens.

They don't have a right to do this, no. Yes, it is abusing the Youtube system. And people should be free to talk about it if they want, even if it's on crappy clickbait Youtube videos.

Maybe don't make people work 60+ hours and not pay them what they're due to the point where they retaliate by leaking your mediocre movie-game online instead.

no but you can obviously talk about them, or use footage for a review, or things of that nature.

these videos will be reinstated once the counter claims are processed. the companies that do this know full well that's what happens. they do it just to take them off the site for a few days to prevent them from gaining traction. its super shady behavior that certainly wouldn't be expected of a company like Naughty Dog.

this is also why only videos that have a negative spin on the story are being targeted.
