White House economic advisor, Kevin Hassett, told reporters that the Trump Administration is studying very carefully whether to provide another round of economic impact payments more commonly known as stimulus checks to Americans. This is the first time a Republican has publicly hinted at additional stimulus payments since the most recent legislation was passed.

I think that thats something were studying very carefully that I know that people in the House are as well, Hassett remarked. I expect that its very likely there will be a Phase 4 deal, and were going to be speaking with the president throughout the week about what he thinks should be in there. Hassett has inside access to the administration and revealed that McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had been looking at including additional stimulus payments to Americans.

With nearly half of Americans living paycheck to paycheck and nearly 40% of Americans unable afford an unexpected $400 emergency, it isnt a surprise that a single stimulus check would not suffice. A recent Bankrate survey revealed that 1 in 3 Americans doesnt think the payment would sustain them for even a single month. Other surveys support this with one finding that 84% want another wave of checks and another onefinding that 64% of Americans believed the first stimulus check would cover their expenses for less than three months.

I wish that $1200 was enough to keep me going for a whole month. The cost of living is high, but I have heard that its unfeasible almost everywhere.

The $1200 I got from this last stimulus is likely going into a new set of tires for my car. Having another deposit would seal the deal.

What's the likelihood it happens soon? Rent is coming up, bills need to be paid. The time to release it is now. I know that won't happen now, I'm just saying this should have already been put in motion. If we're talking weeks from now then I'm worried about what will be happening soon.

I predict it will be ready around either late May or the first weeks of June.

Might be the first time I buy the new Xbox and PlayStation at launch

Or I'll put in the patio I want in the back yard

(Married so I'd be getting $2400 assuming it's the same amount as last time...doubt I could do the patio for under 2k unless I did it all myself)

Its inevitable.

Way too many people are unable to survive on 1,200 alone.

It's definitely not inevitable, hard-line conservatives are super mad about all the spending and Democrats will fight over stuff that trumpists won't buy (specifically including ITIN filers in the next check)

That said it's still very likely

They're also considering $2000 a month for six months. I don't see it happening the way things are, but it could depend on what happens as states re-open. Infected / death numbers boom and we have to go back to shutting things down or scaling back somewhat, then a monthly amount would seem more feasible.

But like the last check, I won't believe anything is coming until it's in my account.

yeah i could see it being another one time check. a per month check would only happen if death rates skyrocketed after states reopen
