covid crisis did a serious number on the way of life. i can't get my dogs medication because the office that i pick up the medication is being open off/on the past month.

now i have to pay extra money to get an exam somewhere else and hope they will offer to fill the prescription for me (she needs that apoquil) or else she'll turn bald again.

I mean I guess but inpatient CPR has abysmal ROSC rates. That's in a hospital with all available resources. It's even worse in the field.

Yeah, mortality for CPR and interventions on the street is like 75% >_> Even then, your quality of life is probably going to be shit too unless bystanders started CPR as soon as you go down, either from brain damage or how fucked up your chest or airway is gonna be with all the work we gotta do on you.

Brain damage starts at 6 minutes and that's usually how long it takes for the call to process through dispatch and for us to receive it and drive to the scene, if we're lucky. So if no one initiated CPR beforehand, they're already having brain cell die before we can even set up.

40% of the air you exhale is breathable air >_> (i think. Regardless, a good amount of the air you exhale can be used. But the main priority is recirculating the blood throughout the body. Giving them air is secondary really.)

But besides, unless you want HIV or something, everyone just uses a bag-valve mask cuz it's the 21st century
