Is waxing good for it? I heard waxing isnt really necessary on new paint, at least for a few years. Regardless it does make things shiny!

The Magnetic color is really annoying because it either looks dull or incredible, but the only way I know how to keep it looking incredible is waxing

Automatic

My '99 Mustang was manual. I got bored of it after a while. Automatics accelerate faster, anyway.

@DarkRoast

this is not true. Sequential Manual Automatics, double clutch manual automatics, etc, which means stuff like BMWs SMG and Porsches PDK are definitely faster than manuals.

but real automatics with a torque converter, such as even Porsches own tiptronic and BMWs steptronic and Chryslers autostick or Mercedes stepshift were slower than a manual. A late 90s mustang or even a 2000s mustang is definitely a normal automatic, and thus slower than a manual. I am not sure whether the new Mustang is a regular automatic or not.

no. Citation needed:

https://auto.howstuffworks.com/manual-transmissions-faster-than-automatics.htm

normal automatics with torque converters are slower, ask any car guys.

modern transmissions they have automated manuals are faster. I am not sure whether TCs new Mustang has such technology, but a 90s or even mid 2000s Stang would not

what about in those corvettes with automatics? they don't have dual clutch autos. And always when i read those car magazines. All the corvettes with regular automatics have faster lap times. Cause you don't have to waste precious seconds shifting.

The honest truth is that in almost all situations a modern automatic transmission is faster and more efficient than a manual. As someone who knows how to drive a manual, I respect the desire to "feel the car" and getting to know how the engine performs, especially in lower gears. But you can achieve similar results with paddle shifters.

The bottom line, though, is that the presence of a clutch is an extra step that worsens performance without any real benefit.

It kinda reminds me of the people who obsessively believe that LP records are better than digital.

They just aren't. "Lossless" audio is a moot point when LPs degrade over time (among thousands of other problems with analog audio)

Lol, she just lied about the dash and I'm not talking about using stock pics. She used a dash pic of a dash she doesn't have.

As I said, it's not really a big deal because it's lying over really mundane shit. Just weird and it happened all in the last month or so. Funny you say this when you have the Kitt "hiding in the closet story" saved and bring it up to send to users when they ask about it lmao.

Oh yeah, is that so? Hmm, weird because I found the topic on the "archive" website after someone asked me if what I said regarding Kitt was true (they asked for a link to the topic, which obviously wasn't possible since it was months ago). Then I sent a PM to said user since linking the website is against the rules. Keyword: user. Not userS. Singular. So please humor me, who else did I send this too? Ah, that's right. You don't know. A clutch has the benefit of added control, which is very beneficial in certain scenarios or when it comes to driving in bad weather. Regardless of performance differences (which are miniscule, especially considering I'm not racing), that added control is enough for me.

Switched from manual to an auto back in 2016. Once I ride this into the ground, I'll be going back to stick for sure.

I don't see how this is in any way superior to downshifting with paddles

Again, as someone who knows how to drive a manual, I legit don't understand what you're implying. And I promise I'm not trying to be rude or confrontational.

Automatic muscle and sports cars have traction control systems that are at least as good as clutch systems when you're in low gears.

Searching by user and hitting "next page" once or twice doesn't = "combing through 4 months of posts". I know you're trying really hard to paint me out to being as bad as you. Kudos on the effort, but you probably shouldn't rattle off random posting details about another user as your counter to not being weird for remembering these posting details about users in the first place, lol...
