The real tragedy is the number of BS credits you need to get a degree. It's basically high school 2. You learn important stuff in high school--I'm not saying that at all--but what use does an Engineer have for taking World History twice and reading Great Expectations twice?

That's why I like the German system. You get almost no choice (in your bachelor's anyway), but as an engineer my classes were actually almost all "career-relevant"
