The sequel really was a shame

The worst part is if they just waited a couple years Will Smith would have most likely been down to do the sequel nowadays since he's been doing other sequels like Bad Boys 3 and Men In Black 3

Seriously. It was cool to see Goldblum and Pullman back, but if you can't get Will Smith signed on, don't bother with the sequel.

Also, I was very disappointed with the soundtrack. The original OST is so fucking awesome. The OST in Resurgence? Completely forgettable. Nowhere near as enthralling. They honestly should've just used the original OST, unadulterated.

Pretty much. Like, yeah the shock factor is there when you see the sheer size of the Harvester Ship. That fucker covered the entire Atlantic Ocean and dwarfed the Mother Ship from the original. But it being so big makes it reaallllly hard to believe that humans could actually win again this time. Plus, as I said, the OST was just blah, so the emotional impact really wasn't there.

I felt more terrified by the 15-mile-wide City Destroyers in the original than I was by the 3,000-mile-wide Harvester Ship in Resurgence.

Why bring back Vivica Foxx if they were just going to kill her?

Why bring back that scientist from the dead and force their agenda down our throats with his eye rolling backstory?

That movie pissed me off so much, and you could tell that they wanted a sequel for it too.
