who writes the lyrics for the guest artist? Is it the artist that the song belongs to or the guest artist?

anybody could write them
but its kinda frowned upon if you dont write your own lyrics but it happens alot. Especially big pop songs

Dr. Dre doesnt write any of his own lyrics (and was looked down on for it)
For example Dr. Dre ft. Eminem - Forgot About Dre was written entirely by Eminem
Jay-Z wrote Dr Dres part on Still D.R.E. (ft. Snoop Dogg) even though Jay-Z wasnt even on the song

I've always seen Dre given a pass for already being legendary producer and overall hip hop veteran.

But yeah, in most rap, if you don't write your own shit you better hide it well.
