slave trade brought those fuckers to america. they hitched onto ships in the 1600s and are now everywhere, or at least the American variant is. it's weird to think any time you see one of those things in a house, it's because assholes were shipping humans across the ocean four hundred years ago

If a shoe happens to be the best means of slaughter, then he got lucky. I have drowned roaches, I have scalded roaches, but most of them die an extremely slow death at the hands of whatever poison the exterminator uses--and I don't even help them along if I see them dying. --- 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 53 ... Can't they survive underwater for like 10 mins? Probably. Motherfuckers are hard to kill. Short of severing them to pieces with a machete, you can never be too sure they're dead. I grew up for about 8 years living in an apartment that was loaded with them. I'm never going back to that standard of living again. My parents and I'd come home at times and we turn on the kitchen light and they were all over the kitchen counter running around cause they'd come through the ventilation. Very annoying. We have a few wood roaches outside here at times that fly. Annoying shitheads.

If you have 1 you have many. They are a pain to eliminate. I am staying at my parents' house right now dog sitting and I also have an apartment in a different state. I see them at both places like once or twice a week. A lot of times they are already dead or on their back dying. They come up through the drains around this time of year because they live in the sewer and it dries and they need the moisture to survive. Unless you see a few small ones they are likely just sewer roaches that aren't nesting. I think the German ones are the ones that really nest in your kitchen. --- p226 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah the german ones are annoying. Wood roaches I might have seen only 1 in my house which got in from outside. I killed it right away. Most larger flying ones are in warmer climates though. Bitches would struggle in Canada.
As a kid for a year or 2 I was probably 5 or 6 I recall sleeping on a couch that had german roaches at times. We lived in a bachelor room for a short time and my folks along with my lil sis used the bed and I got the couch. Fuck man...that lifestyle was hurting. My grandmother used to have a roach infestation where as soon as it got dark outside, floor was lava throughout the house. Worse experience was when I went inside the house first to turn on the lights and one landed on my face in pitch black darkness
I'm dealing with a house centipede infestation that dropped off significantly after calling an exterminator, but those things are kiddy mode compared to roaches --- Roll Tide & Go Irish ... Copied to Clipboard!

We had an infestation about 15 years ago. Was really bad. Thankfully they are long gone, and we only VERY occasionally see one (I can't remember the last time I saw one, though).
Bed bugs have proven to be FAR more annoying and tenacious, and unlike roaches they actually feed directly off of you. --- Be wary of boarding the hype train, lest you end up on the ruse cruise... - nanobuilder (r/nintendo) http://backloggery.com/SolarCrimson ... Copied to Clipboard!
