I find being single easier and easier to tolerate as I age. My libido has mellowed out which is a godsend. Surprisingly I'm doing better now emotionally than I was when I just turned 30.

It's not though, girls like confidence. NOTE: Confidence does not mean arrogance, confidence just means being sure of yourself and not being afraid to respectfully ask them out, and if they say no it's just an "Ah alright, just wanted to put it out there, so anyway..."

Plus it's SUCH a massive burden off to KNOW if they're interested or not.

Well yeah, the longer you are single, the more you get used to it.

But are you happy? Do you want to get married, have kids with lifelong partner?

Cause if you are, then you have to do something about it. Have confidence in yourself for starters and work on yourself and be the best version you can be. Talk to girls so you can get an idea, improve on your health and image, learn something new and have topics to talk about that aren't just about you.

It is a bit harder in the current situation you are in, but it will get better. Download apps like coffeemeetsbagel and take some good photos and work on your profile

I'm 32 and I'm a virgin. I've dated a couple times. Sometimes I feel discouraged, frustrated, broken and feel like giving up, but I know I can't. I can't wait for women to come to me and make the moves. That's not happening. And i'd rather find someone or stay single for the r at of my life vs parents trying to choose a partner for me.

TC, you can't wallow in self pity and be discouraged by nay Sayers. There is someone out there for you. Find out your faults and fix them. Going to the gym(working out)/taking care of yourself+hygiene and having self confidence (or at least projecting it) helps a lot. It's not going to be an overnight thing.

I used to make the exact same topics you did around your age, and obsessed over the things I hadn't experienced yet with girls. I can honestly tell you that you're not going to care about having those experiences at this stage in your life once they actually happen - and they WILL happen.

You can get to know people by just...getting to know them. By that I mean show interest in people you like and ask about their life and interests without talking about youself often. Try finding activities or something where you live too. No shame in going alone either.

It's just so good being single as well. When you are dating, you lose a lot of your time and your thoughts to her. Not even mentioning money.

This is becoming more and more common.

The skill to enter intimate relations is being lost. Not everyone gets it naturally, yet it's not socially acceptable to teach in specifics either. ("confidence" and other such vague recommendations tell nothing about what you're actually supposed to say/do/etc.)

Confidence is significantly more difficult to develop when you haven't succeeded the first time. Once you do succeed, from that point on you know you're capable of doing it.

I think this is what people don't understand. Confidence isn't a solution but a factor lol. "Just be more confident" isn't even a valid advice
