Look at the Trump White house, and say well you know the Russians probably did help them, to whatever extent we don't know, we're not going to go there, we're going to do what they tell us. Imagine you have one of the democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said "You know, the only other adversary of ours that is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China. So why should Russia have all the fun? And since Russia is clearly backing the republicans why don't we ask China to back us? That's right. And not only that, China, if you're listening, why don't you "get" Trumps tax returns. I'm sure the "media" would richly reward you. Now according to the Mueller report, that isn't conspiracy cause it's done right out in the open. So if after this hypothetical democratic candidate says this on your show, within hours all of a sudden the IRS offices are bombarded with incredibly sophisticated cyber tools looking for Trumps tax returns, and then extracts them and passes them to whatever the new Wikileaks happens to be, and they happen to be unraveled and disclosed...there's nothing wrong with that. --- Engaging with NPCs is conceptually identical to talking back to the television. ... It's not a given that the Sanders supporters who didn't vote for Clinton would have voted for her if Sanders hadn't run. Fairly simple solutions:
1) don't share things over an unsecure/easily-hacked server 2) don't hire a right-hand man for the biggest election in the free world who falls for simple email scams 3) get someone in IT who knows what they're doing, and would catch that stuff instead of clearing it 4) if you want to accuse someone else of conspiracies, don't get caught yourself taking pre-written debate questions, angling to rig Bernie out of the primary, taking Clinton Foundation and massive speaking fees from Russia, Saudi Arabia and others, whatever the heck "spirit cooking" was, and so on. Compared to Donald Trump and several people around him who were spied on - think about this - compared to the guy who was pursued by the Obama administration in so many ways, if the contents of 1 email leak are scandalous enough to sink your campaign, you probably shouldn't be president. Blaming the messenger, Wikileaks, Russia, whoever means nothing. The problem is she did things she shouldn't have done and got caught.
