It depends. Most fast food pickles are nasty and slimy. But fresh cut pickles at a diner are excellent. I usually ask for extra.

if I'm having a burger at a fast food place, I don't like them, but if I'm having a gourmet burger from a restaurant, then they can be pretty good.
