Then I always fall in love with it.

The first time I played it, it was the PS3 remaster. And I was amazed at the story and the game play was fun. I beat it only once.

Now years later I'm like I guess I'll give it a go since I have nothing else to play. And again I'm amazed by it. Why do I keep doubting? I'm going for the whole series now. I've never played God of War 3 or the new God of War PS4 game.

3 is good, but mostly more of the same. The new one is a fantastic shake-up of the usual.

I played the original 1 and 2 on Ps2. Finally started GoW3 Remastered. Thought i would find it boring, but surprisingly get immersed.

Looking forward to GoW4

God of War 2018 is legit one of my favorite games ever. You should def play it.

Almost done, I think.


I've played this game once. I forgot how good it is, but it's mentally exhausting. Now I remember why I haven't picked it up in a while -- especially since I play all games on hard mode.

God of War 3 Remastered is the first game I started playing on Normal. I played hardest difficulty my entire life, but a few games back realized how time consuming and frustrating it can be. Maybe I'm just old.

I played Ghost of Sparta a bit recently and holy hell is that game a piece of shit, talk about amateurish. Massive input delay (you have to consult your calendar to see if you have enough days cleared up to block an attack in advance of said attack), enemies can hit you within the same frame that you finish your locked-in execution sequence, awkward dodging controls and fucky hitboxes where you get hit by shit that clearly cleared your model, the QTEs happen too fast for any mortal to even react in time (probably has to do with the weeks worth of input lag). Oh and some of the bosses (like the bird lady) take an unconscionable number of attacks to put down, but maybe that's because I'm playing on God mode or whatever.

I would've started playing the new one a lot sooner if I knew you could just casually Captain America shield punch motherfuckers off of cliffs like it's going out of style. The R1 counter just yeeting enemies everywhere never gets old to me. I never even got into the old games and I was expecting to not like the new one without even giving it a chance, for reference. I also love the dynamic between Kratos and Atreus, how it's this no-nonsense dude who just wants to be left the fuck alone while teaching his son how to survive. I think you're gonna like the new one, is what I'm getting at.

I wish they'd release a God of War: Ascension remaster on PS4. I think you can play the PS3 version through their craptastic streaming app, but forget that.

I got God of War 2 shortly after it came out back in the day, started playing it in the morning and had beaten it by that night. Didn't touch the series again until 2018.

I played through the entire trilogy during the PSN 2011 outage.

Man, what an experience.

I have GOW4 and I've been meaning to get around to playing it
