I do but shouldn't as those push the wax further in but they do get some out. I need to find a alternative solution.

My ear clogged up really badly a few years ago, so bad I couldn't hear out of that ear. I went to the doctor and they used one of these on me:

I was astounded at the amount of crap that came out of my ear.

No, I use hydrogen peroxide to soften it up and then squirt water in it, you should never put a qtip in your ear.

I'm one of those guys that goes deaf if I don't clean my ears every couple months. Like a good cubic centimeter per ear.

Twice a month I use a quarter of a cap of a 3% hydrogen peroxide poured into each ear, respectively, for thirty seconds, and then spilled out into the sink. Usually once the fizzling has stopped is when I know it is time to promptly drip it out. Afterward, I use a cotton swap stick (q-tip) to apply a 90% witch hazel to the lining of my outer ear canal. Lastly, I finish with a dab of triple antibiotic to prevent ear zits caused by the crap that exited my ears.

I have horrific vertigo, so when I tilt my head to the side for 30 seconds to keep the peroxide in, it worsens it greatly. By the time I get to my second ear, I feel extremely nauseous and have to grasp onto the bathroom counter to keep from fainting.

But my primary doctor and ENT specialist personally endorse this method, because I'm prone to ear infections due to a weakened immune system from an underlying illness. My dermatologist recommended the additional method to stop ear zits, because if left untreated they can get pretty gross and painful. That's why it is best to prevent them.

I regularly swab my inner ear. I know the warnings and risks, but in my experience, it's reasonably safe and effective so long as it's done with care.
I should warn about peroxide though. That stuff can be too effective at removing earwax. You need at least a little to protect your ears from bacteria. You completely remove your earwax, and you greatly increase your risk of ear infection.
If you get an ear infection, an effective remedy is an equal parts mixture of rubbing alcohol and vinegar.

Last two girls I dated that are from Japan did it for me. Apparently thats not only a thing you can pay to have done there, but a thing that a lot of them like to do.

The only time I ever experienced vertigo was when I squirted cold water in my ear to clean it out.

It sounds silly but it's no joke a huge annoyance. Must suck to get it all the time.

Nah, q-tips seem more likely to just push the wax farther in.

I squirt warm soapy water up in there to break the chunks out. Works like a charm.

I use the soft earplugs at work that keep my ears cleaned out.

The first day back to work after a vacation or our twice yearly shutdown week always yields some rather gooey wax build-up on the tips when I remove them.
