Just saw on local news an NBC reporter was hit with a flash grenade. Wtf is going on? Previous protests/riots the press were generally left alone by police. According to the reporters themselves at least.

Reporters are not immune to violence in these situations. Its insane that they think they are. Were seeing reporters being attacked by the police and rioters alike, and they always seem so shocked. In the heat of the moment, they dont care who you are.
