Playstation are handling the transition to next gen differently

Darmik 06/03/20 7:47:12 PM #1:	A lot of people out there seem to be making a big deal about how Xbox and Playstation are handling the transition to next gen. But I don't think either one is really a big deal? Microsoft have said their first party games will work on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X for the first year. Sony have said that the PS5 will have exclusive games at launch and they're not interested in making PS5 games work on PS4. But like...either way it's not a huge difference? First year or so is primarily cross gen games anyway. Developers have only had the new hardware for like a year anyway so it's not like launch games ever really make the most out of the new hardware regardless and there's usually not many of them. It makes sense for Sony to have PS5 exclusive games because they want to sell PS5 consoles quickly. It also makes sense for Microsoft to have games that work on both because they don't want Xbox One players to cancel their Game Pass subscriptions due to lack of games. After a year or so they'll then be in the same position anyway. What do others think? I feel like people are making mountains out of molehills with any perceivable difference between the two. Which would be just over a year of the XSX being out.
