This would go in the front page of the NY Daily News and Philadelphia Inquirer in the 1970s - 1980s.

The police would never do this to Mafia Bosses or criminals of other races.

These pics were of the Black Panthers Headquarters in Philly

This is why his statue was torn down in Philly

Dude no s*** they wouldn't do that to mob bosses. They were tight with intelligence. The government didn't go after them in any meaningful way until Bobby Kennedy did. Up until the late 50's or so, it was wide open for the mob to do anything they wanted. Which included paying off police and politicians. The idea of a criminal syndicate was kind of a joke until then. The 1957 syndicate meeting at Apalachin NY is a turning point in mob history. The existence of a criminal syndicate was acknowledge by J Edgar Hoover.

On a sidenote, I am reading the book on which The Irishman was based (I Heard You Paint Houses). It's incredible if you like mob history and middle of the century history.

As for that photo in the original post, yikes. That's some demeaning s***. Isn't this around the time when the Philly mayor bombed out a city block?
