Depends on how he'd react in the Floyd situation. Would he casually stand by or assist in restraining the suspect if his buddy was kneeling on the suspects neck for several minutes, continuing on after the suspect has clearly lost consciousness?

If he'd do nothing or assist then he's a bad apple.

If he'd push his buddy off then he might be a good cop.

and to expand, I won't even consider him a bad apple if he assists at first, but once the suspect is clearly restrained and the dude on the neck is continuing to kneel is what differentiates.

we would never be in that situation because my department is better trained Than that garbage. We also have a recovery positioned mandated by our policy, no one would ever have his knee on his neck or back. And I wouldnt allow someone to get to that point

Because if the 1000 good cops stand by and excuse or make excuses for the 10 bad cops, then they're all bad. The 10 bad cops are worse than the "good" cops but standing by and excusing corruption or bad apples taints the rest by association.

Its why the expression "A few bad apples ruins the batch" exists.

Ive seen quotes taking only a small portion of what he said and twisting it around to make it look way worse

I've seen assumptions out the wazoo

I thought it was a made up statement, and I didnt say it, I quoted someone else saying it, telling him that it was a strong accusation.

I don't know since I haven't seen him work. Who knows what his performance is like on the job.

On paper based solely on how he behaves here I'd assume is more likely to be a bad cop because he is very angry and lies frequently. As well as a guy who says things like "There is no systemic racism because cops shoot 100 more white guys a year than black guys!" and justifies police brutality by showing clips of criminals breaking the law.

Which means he is either an angry man and a liar or enjoys internet trolling and both alternatives are bad qualities for a policeman.

I guess another way of phrasing it is "If he was one of the 4 cops who were standing around, would he have physically pulled Chauvin off George Floyd?" and I would have to guess no.

I don't think this adds up because to my knowledge there are at least 4 cops who post on CE and probably more.

DarkPrince gets heat because he frequently says horrible things, not because he is a cop.

I can't comment on the people "Provoking him" but yes the stuff he said is that bad

People aren't picking on him for being a cop, they're picking on him for being a bad person
