Yes, and my cat took personal offense to it and beat on it until it broke a week later when it did the automatic scoop cycle.

You would hear a small hum coming from the laundry room, followed by BAM BAM BAM BAM and it was the cat trying to murder it, smacking it hard.

We bought one years ago, in the first or second generation I think, and it was fucking amazing. Our two cats had no trouble using it. Six years or so later we think the motor went. Back to scooping like a pleb since I don't really wanna spend another half a grand. Recently thinking to get a local repair person to check it out though.

Yes. The multiple litter box thing is because of cleanliness mostly. The litter robot will keep it clean all the time, so no issues.

I also bought the ramp, the guard, and the cadenza. The guard isn't worth it at all. The ramp is nice. The cadenza is an overpriced piece of shit. I also purchased a 3 year extended warranty, but I don't think it's worth the money if you want to buy it separately (it often gets bundled in for "free"). This thing is solid, overengineered, and very easy to fix (maybe three components that could ever break, and litter robot company sells spare parts).
