George stinney was executed almost 80 years ago, so that doesn't really represent modern police and is incredibly lazy and bad faith from you especially when there are actual examples you can find.

Doesn't it? Hasn't the FBI been warning us that white supremacists have been infiltrating law enforcement for a long time now?

Ahmaud Arbery was killed recently due to an overzealous former cop, who was essentially deputized by local police, assuming a black person jogging through a neighborhood was responsible for all recent crime.

I'm certainly not suggesting all cops are like that, but it's definitely a concern.

in a trial if it comes down to an accused's word against a cop's word on something that happened with no witnesses or evidence, they default to believing the cop's word.
Well yeah, the cop took and oath to the law and a citizen will say whatever to not go to jail. Im not saying cops dont break the law but judges and lawyers make way more money to manipulate the law in their favor and sometimes that means letting bad cops get off light.

No, it doesn't. It's an 80 year old story. Find a modern one.

Yes, I never said you didn't. You didn't read the entire post if you think I didn't post a modern example.

Nevermind I'm dumb and high. I was thinking you meant the first post you quoted, lol. Though no, Arbery doesn't actually have a judge just accepting a cops word, it has an entirely different issue at its core.

The McMichaels acted as judge, jury and, executioner in that incident, and the core of the problem is the same. A black person was assumed to be responsible for recent crime(s) in the neighborhood based on nothing but the fact that he was a black guy who happened to be in the area.

In reality it was based on quite a bit more than that, they had been told about him trespassing on the construction. Doesn't justify any of what they did though, still horrifying.

people "trespass" on under construction properties all the time. I even used to do it as a kid. but I am white. when a black man does it, people freak out. what the fuck was he even going to steal? some nails? a hammer? no, fuck those people that attacked him. that was a lynching. nothing more to it.

Plenty of other people were trespassing on the construction site, too. Gotta wonder why he was singled out.

Not to mention the fact that the day of the incident was about 12 days after the McMichaels saw Arbery on that property. They told the police that they had just seen him running down the road and decided to grab their guns and chase him.
