Just Berseria. It was a good game, but I didn't feel very inspired to play more in the series.

And I disagree with starting with any of those 3. Don't get me wrong, incredible games, but I'd start with Phantasia, probably the GBA or PS 1 release. Such an incredible game, not too complicated and introduces you to mainstays in the series. Also gives you a brief introduction to the summons that appear throughout the series.

Also No great guide to track things you say king? Makes me want to make a series of YT videos to showcase the base essentials of each game.

Just Vesperia. These games aren't my thing, but I had always read/heard how good Vesperia was so I tried it. Enjoyed it for the most part but man did it drag.

graces f had the best combat, abyss had the best story/characters and berseria is overall the best tales game to date

Berseria is my favorite. Zesteria is second because I like the way Berseria is the prequel of Zesteria. The story is beautiful and sad at the same time.

All of the localized ones. I think the only ones I haven't finished are Destiny, Eternia and Hearts.

Zesteria was alright, there were parts I really liked, like the way they protected higher level areas through that fog mechanic. Same with the main villain of the game. That said, there was way too much backtracking, and I think they figured that out when they released Berseria. Didn't help that my save file was erased due to the dlc. I didn't know the dlc would override my main save, I thought it was part of the main game.

All except for half of the mobile games and every single Tales of online game that wasn't on mobile.

Symphonia and Vesperia. Vesperia is really bad, i didn't like how they changed the combat in that one. Symphonia however I finished completely and it is one of my favourite games of all time.

In the mid 00s, I beat Symphonia and Abyss, plus I played a bit of one other that I can't for the life of me remember (big RPG kick in the mid 00s, so a lot of the games blend together). A couple years ago I played the first chapter of Xillia, but didn't get much further than that. And then sitting in my backlog to be played... some day, are Xillia, Xillia 2, Berseria, and Vesperia.
