i have no idea how to code, i'm not that kind of engineer =( https://towardsdatascience.com/merging-spreadsheets-with-python-append-f6de2d02e3f3 That entire task of yours can be replaced with a single script that will always work, and turn 2 weeks of copy-paste into a 5 second activity. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. Can't deny it I get it, and I can't blame you for it. Government work is basically minimal oversight, a guaranteed pay raise structure, low effort yet also extremely high job security with decent benefits. It's the place people go to settle when they've decided their aspirations have become eclipsed by their laziness. It's a very tempting proposition to a lot of people, with the only real trade-off being that you're making less than you would in private industry and your pay has a ceiling. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. Thats like 90% true, except in engineering pay is much higher in gov. If you're a high level project manager that brings in clients working private, then your pay will be much higher. Otherwise you get paid more by gov, its more of an "optics" thing where they want engineers with PEs and are willing to pay for it. When maxed out i make 50% more than an equivalent engineer working private (at least this is true in my region). So yeah thats a huge difference, but you are otherwise correct --- ...
