This could apply to streaming services and also to stores that sell DVD or blue-ray versions of movies or TV shows

And these would be business decisions also, but would you support them?

We should go into people's houses and remove that old media as well. That way we know we got it all. And anyone that has it should be locked up forever.

Not listed: Preface with context. Disney did something like that with Song of the South.

It depends on what it is but for the most part I say put up a warning before the media starts explaining its a product of a different era

I have some reprinted collections of golden age comics from the late 30s early 40s and at the beginning of the books it says that the material inside is presented as is, in a historical context of its time

Most reasonable way to handle it.

We could just add a "the material inside is presented as is, in a historical context of its time" disclaimer to everything. It's kinda dumb people need a warning and don't understand how everything is in the historical context of it's time by default.

But fine, let's add that disclaimer to literally ever piece of media (even new ones) and be done with it.

It's worth doing. Remember how many people assumed all those racist statues had historical relevance, and how all of those people had no idea what the fuck they were talking about? People assume a lot of shit without even realizing it.
