Do you live with your parents and/or have a full-time job?

Honestly? Just wondering how feasible it is to move out from the parentals without having a full-time gig >_>
I wouldn't mind working two shitty part-time things for more than 40 hours a week if it meant leaving my folks.

I live with my fiancee and before that I've lived away from my parents since I was 19. I haven't had a job since I was either 20 or 21. Long term mental and physical illness have screwed that up (29 now)

How do you generally support yourself?

I live with my bf & his mom, and have a fulltime job. If not for the pandemic situation, I would be trying to find my own place rn.

IMO if you are ok with roommates, it should be possible to move out on a well-paying part time job.

My mom and sister moved into my place last year after my ma had a stroke, so... none of those.

Been on my own since I left my childhood home at 17.

Haven't been back since. I couldn't wait to move out.. Not because I hated my parents (far from it), but because I wanted my independence already. They were reluctantly supportive, but it was time for me to spread those wings. Hell, I wanted to move out sooner, but I felt that I could pitch in a bit more before moving on.

I live with my parents and I do not have a full-time job.

I am basically the family care taker. Everyone has significant medical problems, and it's not feasible for us to have a nurse/aid come in and help out. If we were to do that, they would need to be her 24/7. Something as simple as my brother needing to take a shit requires some level of help from me, and lets just say he can go days without needing to shit. It's even worse now since my dad died, which means even though I don't need to help him anymore I have to do what he used to do as well.

Not that I would be doing much more with my life. At best I'd be in a small house or apartment with an uninspiring job. At least now I feel like I have a sense of purpose and get to spend tons of time with my family.
