It's like the girl just completely ignored whatever opening line I took a long time to think out and type. I tried once telling a good joke as an opening and this girl simply replied "Hi!" after like 2 days.

Because she literally has dozens if not hundreds of conversations going on and is trying to be nice. She probably heard somewhere that most dudes don't get any responses so she's priding herself on responding to everyone.
