According to wrestlers, Shawn Michaels was in a heated debate at NXT Takeover In Your House ahead of the show. From the details we were given, Michaels was discussing the current social climate with another producer, when said producer mentioned that everyone already gets treated the same. This didn't sit well with Michaels, we're told, who broke down systemic prejudice and inequality to the persona in a very heated discussion. Word of the argument only made its way back among multiple wrestlers the following day, and Michaels was said to be a "professional" and worked with the person even after the argument went down.

The following day, Triple H says that anyone can talk to him about Black Lives Matter at any time and that he would "Encourage that conversation"

Shawn is legitimately a good person. Knowing where he came from and how he ended up isn't something you can fake so if he says he genuinely feels for every fellow man out there, I believe him.

Maybe before but he became one of those good born-again Christians that actually preaches love and acceptance.

I remember some WWE wrestler came out as gay and TMZ tried to do a "gotcha" interview with HBK in the airport or something. He basically said "Hey, that's awesome. People should be who they are. No hate here" or something to that extent.

WWE as a company has never been anti-gay, though I am sure the boys in the locker room were assholes. Vince's best friend, Pat Patterson has been openly gay throughout and has never been treated poorly because of it, from a company standpoint, that is.

But I know he had some measure of creative control over his character and he never teamed with or lost to a black wrestler. His feud with Shelton Benjamin came absolutely out of nowhere, he won all four of their matches, and Shelton's career was dead in the water after that. I won't bring up him kicking Booker T out of the nWo because that was entirely storyline. But at a time when absolutely anyone could step into the ring with Shawn Michaels and win at least one or two matches in a feud with him, Shelton Benjamin was an 0'fer. I guess maybe that feud kinda gave me the wrong impression of HBK.

I know that's a really weird thing to get caught up on, but it made me question where he stood on certain things.

Kane is a libertarian, and they tend to not be super fond of cops in general but I dont know his personal opinions on that. Orton has already tweeted about BLM and that he disagrees with the ALM battle cry because until Black lives matter, all lives dont matter or something to that effect.
