Who the Arkham Knight was.

Then I decided to look at the costume screen and the Red Hood is basically shown as an alternate costume for the Arkham Knight. Smfh.

I guess it's pretty obvious once the first flash back of Jason shows up, but c'mon lmao. Still a good game though.

I noticed it by looking at the character profiles for Jason Todd and Arkham Knight. If you have a hunch (which most people should) you can compare their profiles and the only info on Arkham Knight is that hes 6 210lbs and the only other person that matches that is Jason Todd lol. The numbers I gave might be off since I went off of memory but I just remember that their height and weight matched and theyre the only two that do.

At least in the game, I think it is supposed to become obvious when the flashbacks start, to the point that it's clear Batman is willfully ignoring the idea.

The pre-release smokescreen was very stupid though, along with blocking the PS4 Share function during the cutscene where AK's identity is revealed. Still, it did distract us all from the true spoiler: Joker.

I liked the Batmobile a lot in this game, tbh. I thought it handled pretty weird in the first hour, but I adjusted to it (but it still handles kinda weird).

I know a lot of people complained about the Riddler car sections but they were pretty fun to me. Even did the AR challenges while I was down there.

But my perspective is colored by the fact that I knew the Batmobile had a huge emphasis prior to starting it. My biggest complaint is that doing Riddler trophies/challenges doesn't feel nearly as natural in this one because of how you navigate the world. It's rare you ever even notice them when you're rolling around in the Batmobile, and I ended up with only like 20% done of 243 when I had like 80% of 440 by the end of City's story.

I think this is the worst Arkham game. The side mission structure is so soulless and bland. Predator rooms are painfully bloated with a billion and one gadgets.

I also like the Batmobile. They struck a good balance with the handling and acceleration, though I think the brake button is useless and actually harms people's enjoyment because it doesn't help with turning at all.

Tank sections are just tolerable, probably would be super aggravating if you don't upgrade attack and defense. Really the worst thing about the Batmobile is how much the game utilizes it.

I can see that. I basically just played Asylum, City, and Knight back to back on PS4. I think this game definitely has the strongest main story, and I mostly enjoyed the Batmobile integration. I think the base game side quests are pretty weak when I think about it (Man Bat, Two Face, Penguin, Azreal, and Firefly at least are just "do this activity 4-6 times and it's over). But the 4 Season of Infamy DLC side stories were excellent, and the Riddler story with Catwoman was good as well.

Edit: I also think having to use the gadgets to deal with certain enemies was an improvement as well (specifically bat clawing electrified enemies and electrifying stun stick enemies).

Ngl I loved everything about Joker in this game. Rocksteady always focused on that dynamic first (to the detriment of every other story thing really) and it's where the writing is strongest.

Completely agree. The ridder tophies in City were fun little things to find as you were gliding through the city. In Knight, you hardly ever ran across them organically.

Also The batmobile really didn't bother me. I glided most of the time and only used the batmobile when crossing large stretches of the city. In missions, I just saw it as another gadget for Batman to utilize.

I enjoyed it as well. He worked well as a personification of his fears, and a lot of the fucked up stuff he says is genuinely funny. It was a very entertaining way for you to understand what Bruce's thoughts were without straight up narration.

Actually, you might be referring to the Arkham Knight going back to good at the end. Yeah, I can see how that is kinda dumb. I definitely had a "so he's good now? wtf?" moment myself. Maybe he saw the Joker tape? idk.

I didnt like how Batman says 'Gotham is safe' and then is basically done being Batman. All the supervillians are locked up in GCPD - theyve busted out of Arkham nine million times so of course they'll do it again. And there's no Batman to deal with them.

Then Bruce walks into Wayne Manor and it blows up, then we get that weird 'bat hallucination' scene. I took it as an ambiguous ending - like the writers didnt know how to end it so they offered up a cheap 'up for interpretation' ending.

Thats what i got from it anyways. If you liked it, you liked it, i respect that.

Sounds like Knightfall to me. I was assuming he was just going to leave Gotham to Nightwing/Oracle/Robin and run off The Dark Knight Rises style.

Edit: And personally I think those kind of endings are more just "well, if somebody else wants to continue the story they can decide what happened" kind of thing. It works for franchises well enough imo.

The worst part about the Arkham Knight character is how the fans called who it is from Day One but the devs go No, its a brand new character. Please believe us!. This was my most anticipated game of 2015 and it was such a disappointment. Ive replayed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City so many times but Arkham Knight will never see a replay from me.

I appreciate all the extra dialogue there is. Everyone in GCPD has multiple unique lines for different parts of the story. The villains are the best part, like Azrael and Deacon Blackfire arguing over who is God's chosen savior.

Huh, I didn't have Azreal attack Batman so I didn't hear any of that lol.

I liked Arkham Knight but the side missions were repetitive. Two- Face and Penguin have the missions over and over. Riddler got a good send off and so did the other DLC characters like Mad Hatter and Mr. Freeze. I wish instead of playing the same repetitive missions with Two Face and the Penguin we got a full fleshed out mission that Batman has to investigate.

There was one little bit of foreshadowing I didn't catch until I was watching a LP. In the scene where Barbara kill itself, you can tell that it's a hallucination if you're paying attention. How? Because Joker pushes the gun closer to her.

I feel like it was pretty obvious regardless though. Even when she shows up later, I don't think any of the characters are surprised.

And Origins is by far the worst Arkham. The combat feels worse somehow.

Cleaning up Riddler trophies and AR challenges. Thank goodness the devs made this stuff very over to NG+. No NG+ should reset tedious collectibles.

Idk how I'd rank them all, but Harley was the most fun aside from Batman I'd say.

The menu ones are just the campaign ones but with the option to play as the other characters, which have different Predator requirements. I don't think they count towards any trophies, same with those challenge point things which I guess are just for leaderboards?
