I haven't bought any new games since February last year. I am enjoying finally playing Skyrim, I like Witcher 3(even though I just made it to Skellige,) the game I am putting the most time into right now is Apex Legends, I kind of want a traditional RPG because I have too many open world games at the moment.

Yea you're right, sandbox is more what I am looking to avoid. Both Witcher and Skyrim I feel are more sandboxy, than traditional RPGs.

Persona 5 Royal and DQXI are both excellent choices actually. Persona games are standalone with some shared elements like Final Fantasy so you don't need to play any others.
