People always shit on the series after Steve Carrell left, and rightfully so. However, I just rewatched season 9 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The finale was perfect, but I wonder if they could've went another season.

I didn't care for the new characters at first, but Clark really grew on me this season. If they went to season 10, he would definitely help carry the series.

Laughed so hard at Dwight attempting to prank him but suffocating him with Saran Wrap.

Season 8 is underrated not 9. I liked the finale and that's generally it about season 9

I don't like The Office but my partner has been rewatching it over the last few weeks and I've been in the room but not actively watching.

From what I absorbed, I like the show a lot better after Steve Carell left. He's funny and I like him, but everybody else had more room to breathe without him. She just watched the finale on Tuesday and I thought it was well done. That's my hot take years too late.

Nah all the characters were flanderized to hell by that point and the subplot where the camera crew's sound guy is trying to comfort Pam is the dumbest shit ever. The only good ep was the final one.

The plot with Pam and the camera guy was awful, that I agree with. But I feel like the other characters stepped up - Erin's character was at her funniest this season to me.

I avoided the last 2 seasons for years, would just restart back at season 2. But I gave them another chance recently and they are better than I remember. Andy was still ruined, nothing can change that, but the rest of the show was watchable. It had its moments and some good arcs.

I liked season 9 other than the Jim/Pam drama.

I actually really enjoyed season 9 Andy. He's a far more enjoyable character when hes a huge jerk like in season 3.

As a long time fan I say that the show started going downhill after Jim and Pam got married. Michael Scott Paper Company was a brief rise but after that continued downhill again

I liked annoying Andy and snooty WASPy Andy. But in S9 he was either pathetic post-breakup, or insufferable following his return from the Bahamas. Couldn't stand him either way.

I thought he sucked at first, especially that creepy storyline of him trying to film Erin as a newscaster. But he grew on me after that. I loved the episode where him and Dwight pretend to be father and son to get business from the suit warehouse.

Well and it's not just bad on its own, it feels stupid considering previous events. Like Jim and Pam could have already had a real relationship test with Kate in Florida but they just kinda didn't because ... The writers wanted to save drama for the last season?
