In traditional old timey gender roles, a woman was a "help-meet" to her man. She took on his name and his status. Whatever he was, she became an extension of.

So it makes alot of sense.

It just isn't politically correct today or aligned with feminism.

I'd probably classify that as a statistical anomaly. I dunno, I was speaking from experience but it's probably a US thing. It also depends what you're looking for I guess. In my country there are a lot of single well educated women and they usually want well educated men. And because those groups are concentrated in different parts of the country, tinder was the go to app to find dates.

Tinder might be hard for the guys that only got laid because the chick in question was drunk as hell.

That's just the way that women are. The funny thing about women is, they always want a "superior" man. They always talk about how feminism has elevated them up and everything, empowered them, but they still want a man who makes more, is physically stronger, taller, is more confident, more emotionally stable, etc. It's one of their biggest hypocrisies. I think there are two reasons for two age groups that could be possible answers to this problem.

For the younger crowd, ages 18-24, it's a matter of nervousness and fear of the opposite sex, especially boys towards girls. I see more and more young adult males completely afraid to approach females for all sorts of reasons. Lack of confidence in themselves, social awareness of rape culture, overexposure to news stories about the consequences of being too aggressive with women, and a general delay in development, i.e., not really taking fully care of themselves as adults until their 30s or later. Just stunted growth emotionally and mentally.

As for the older set, ages 25-30+, it's a pile on of stress. Stress from work, stress from poverty, stress from family issues, both immediate and extended, and declining health. Not to mention lack of faith in society and increased bitterness over their lot in life. There's just too much on their minds to really get in the mood. Plus, hormone levels fall steadily year after year so it becomes that much harder to become aroused and stay that way.

Of course, that's just my personal conjecture. I might be totally wrong, but these are just some things I've observed in my time both watching humans and getting frisky with them. What are your thoughts, CE?

Its funny how a lot of guys are quick to blame females for this problem.

Its demand that is the issue. Men are all too willing to get their rocks off (b/c of base instinct) , so this increase in demand will increase the price (ie good looking, wealthy, charismatic etc) to acquire the supply (females).

Men and women have different instinctual drives on average and blaming either of them is silly. It's like blaming people for wanting to eat good tasting food. You evolved to find certain things delicious, culture and society can influence that but you won't find a society where most people want to eat shit. It's the same with dating. You're not doing to find a society where unattractive people are preferred. Environment can only influence your baseline instincts so much.

This could also be due to the fact that porn is illegal there. Studies have shown the availablity of porn lowers crime rates. Repression PLUS the skewed sex ratio can only mean bad things.

It may be illegal, but tons of people have Japanese porn in China. You also see advertisements for hentai games constantly (I think it's some kind of loophole). When I was in Wuhan during quarantine there was apparently some kind of free hentai game being given out to encourage people to stay in. I had a Switch and my fiancee, so I never looked into it.
