Generally speaking, how long does it take grass to grow back after being mowed?
I am spearheading a massive outdoor physical event in two weeks (6/26 - 6/28). The field was mowed yesterday. Im fearful that the grass will grow back by then but I have no idea because Ive never mowed a lawn before. I searched online it all articles say you should mow grass once every 7-10 days. Is two weeks long enough for the grass to not be too high, or is that waiting too long? ... Copied to Clipboard!

This time of year it will grow back most quickly. 7-14 days sounds right

I cant. I dont live in the area and had to pay someone to mow it. They mowed it yesterday instead of when I wanted them to. The person is difficult to deal with and wont come back out to mow it a second time. Its also a large field.

Where is this place? If the weather is going to be somewhat dry you're probably fine. Two weeks will give you a shaggy lawn in normal conditions but not the worst case scenario.
If its going to be rainy for the next two weeks you're fucked and need to mow again --- wird ... Copied to Clipboard!

Oh then you might be fine. If I had to put money down I'd say the grass will be a bit shaggier than it should but fine.
But again, if you're seeing downpours in the next two weeks then you're in trouble no matter what. --- wird ... Copied to Clipboard!

The ideal for hosting a major event is to mow the grass 3 days prior.

Just let the grass grow to increase its attack and special attack. Hopefully it doesn't run out of PP during that time.

It will definitely be scruffy after two weeks, i would suggest just getting someone else to cut it again. Looks like you already made that decision though.
