Its not even bad. Just very disappointing compared to season 1 and pretty much the entierity of the original series. Its just oh so average.

The Kaiju battle and really really contrived deus ex Machina also were a pretty lame ending. At least the season 1 stuff was somewhat believably foreshadowed and made a some sense given the known nature of avatar. Season 2 ending was like Oh yeah btw this tree lets you do cosmic energy shit. You are a Kaiju now. Also Jinora can fucking teleport and fly and bring a dead light goddess back to life because reasons.

The visual style in the First Avatar flashback episodes and a lot of the trippy spirit world stuff was cool though.

It's terrible, and then they rub salt in the wound by removing the past avatars from existence.

But it's okay because it gave us season 3.

Season 3 is peak. Season 4 is not bad, but it's good or bad in a saturday morning cartoon kind of way.

I always felt like there were scenes missing that explained it. The show had already set up Iroh having the teapot that Wan carried Raava around in. He even said that each cup of tea poured from it still holds the smallest essence of light. Fuck me, season three even has a scene where Iroh mentions he's been looking for a new teapot.

It's just such a blatantly obvious solution to have a scene where Jinora finds Iroh and uses the teapot to restore Raava.

Season 4 should have been about Korra trying to reconnect with the past avatars while facing a moral dilemma on what to do with a new born dark avatar.

I said this in another topic but season 4 did not need a villain.

It would have been fine if they omitted the original avatar storyline. That was useless filler.

Bruh, you best not let Guru Laghima hear you talking like that. He might compel you to let go your earthly tether, if ya know what I'm sayin'.
