I decided I wanted to read a book right now. I decided to read Scythe.

Kinda a YA novel about a world where people no longer die naturally, so Scythe is a profession of people who are basically tasked to be a Grim Reaper and "Glean" people at their discretion. Really interesting premise.

I'm reading Flowers for Algernon now

I've been reading Anne Frank's diary, slowly, throughout stay at home. I usually read just one entry each time, which is why it takes a while. But it's been a good experience

I recently finished Spillover, about zoonotic viruses

This may be a controversial view, but I would start with Men At Arms or Reaper Man, personally.

Greek Military Service in the Ancient Near East by Jeffrey Rop. It's a good read that shows how gray the relationship between the Greeks and the Persians were. Also does a good job in dispelling the myth of a militarily weak Persia relying on the Greeks.

I am slowly working through this

A History of Roman Britain by Peter Salway

got the idea to pick a selection of books and read through the entire history of Britain. The earliest documentation of the British people comes from the first Romans who visited the isles and reported back. so I started with this. covers the first discoveries of Britain from Roman explorers up to the age of Roman Occupied Britain until the collapse of that when the Romans abandoned the British Isles and left the locals to fend for themselves and begin the Dark Ages.
