lots of teenage actors around that age make movies where they are minors when it was filmed. a few year ago Bella Thorne starred in a bunch of horror movies all made around the same time. and I am pretty sure she was a minor in most or all of them.

movies usually come out like almost a year after they were filmed. so yes if the actor is 18 when it comes out.....they most likely were a minor during filming

and most people seem to not know this, but in almost every US state the age of consent is 16. it's only 18 in a handful of states but one of them is California which is very culturally influential so I think that's why so many think it;s 18 nationwide

Ya its something like around 35 of the 50 states have an age of consent of 16

16 year olds are old enough to decide who to have sex with. Remember To Catch a Predator? The youngest they would make the decoy would be 15, but usually 12-13. Those are the REAL pedophiles.

Actually there are usually details about age differences. For instance, in my state a 16 year old can have sex IF the person isn't more than 4 years older than them. A 25 year old would be considered statutory rape. I still maintain that there's nothing wrong with say, an 18 yr old doing their 16 yr old partner or whatever.
If you get too much older then it opens a window for abuse and is a weird power dynamic.
As a 30 year old..I probably wouldn't go any younger than 25 or so tbh.
