We had been planning a 200+ person wedding in October, but at this point it just doesnt seem like a good idea to continue planning on something like that with so much uncertainty
so I called around to a couple of local venues and found a place where we can host ~20 people in a 100 capacity venue for a ceremony at a deep discount in a few weeks very excited yall! --- The words of The Golden Eel have been revealed... Congrats, man. This'll save you a shitload of money too.
Meanwhile my cousin was supposed to marry her fiance on July 4th, the current protests broke out, her fiance was exposed to the family as a dipshit racist bootlicker, and my black cousin who was going to officiate backed out of the wedding. So that's been delightful watching my cousin's family implode lmao --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Good shit that they have you back the refund. I'm actually in a similar situation... Was supposed to be Sept 19th but cancelled it and will do something smaller in a month or so.
Whole thing has been funny. We had a venue, but in Feb they hit chapter 7 bankruptcy and liquidation. We were able to get our money back from the venue thankfully. Had to file a claim with the credit card company. Look up Noah's Events. So we then found a new place, then coronavirus happened. --- Pitter-patter, let's get at 'er ... Copied to Clipboard!

Was supposed to be Sept 19th but cancelled it and will do something smaller in a month or so.We have some friends that were screwed by the Noahs debacle too. Theyre in the same boat the place we found now is great, booked the whole venue for all day (10am-midnight) with staff and setup and no minimum bar tab, for $500. Desperate just to have some income, I imagine. and its a venue we go to for concerts so were supporting a local independent business EDIT: btw congrats! Hey my wedding is planned for October too. We're still gonna keep it and just hope for the best as of right now. However, we've both come to grips with the fact that it'll most likely be canceled and we're just gonna go to the courthouse and get married that day anyway lol
