For the Gen Pop inmates Most are in for gang related crimes like assault, possession of deadly weapon, and trafficking. You have murderers on units serving time with people for less serious crimes like theft. Other common charges are dui Protective Custody inmates are in for the usual crimes like sexual assault/interference, voyeurism. A lot of inmates are homeless people who will sometimes steal from stores or throw a brick through a business just to go back for 3 meals and shelter. I'm usually indifferent towards inmates.
