I will be severely disappointed if we don't get a continuation, lol.

I think with how much is left open and unanswered that a full-on sequel would work better than a remaster with added story content.

This game had some really great music, with the Ocean Day/Night music being my favorite. Of course, you never actually really hear the music in the game because someone decided that Skell Flight music should override everything the moment you jump into the air.

But I really like this game and feel the urge to set up the Wii U to play it every now and then. I would also like to give a shoutout to H.B. who I feel is one of the best characters in the Xenoblade franchise.

I'm not saying I object to a straight port, but the Wii U's utilization of the gamepad made XCX so incredibly smooth to play. Having the map right there was fucking incredible. On the Switch, you'd have to keep opening the map in the menu, and that would be such a hassle given how much it gets used.

Nah, it's not a hassle at all and it'd be easy to implement a non-Wii U version of the map. I know from experience. :)

Game can be played off-screen entirely on the GamePad, switching to TV Mode gives you access to the FrontierNav like normal. I used to play entirely on the GamePad until I got a better TV, since my old TV was actually incredibly blurry and I couldn't see the in-game text. With a bit of tweaking the FrontierNav could just be a menu you press a button to access in a similar fashion.

I think the real work would have to be re-creating the online, especially a custom messaging service to mimic Miiverse.

I get that, but the gamepad + TV was completely seamless, whereas anything else requires a press of a button.

The best thing was messing with the map while running around or getting from A to B.

I guess that would have to be sacrificed if they made a Switch version. The Definitive Edition of XC1 removed the feature of being able to move around while browsing the menu, though there wasn't as much of a reason to do it there as there was in X.
