Human right isn't really the term to use, but the government definitely shouldn't allow the privatization of all water sources. Some percentage is fine.

Yes. How can you call yourself a "first world country" when you can cut off access to water to people?

Spoiler. You can't.

The core of human rights is basically just to exist as an independent entity without having the government inhibit you, up to a point. There are various branches from that, but you don't really have an inherent right to physical things or services from others. You have the right to pursue them without being impeded, up to a point. Those are separate rights come from the collective foundation of a government.

thats why in some countries they cant shut it down if you dont pay the bills but they can make it so filling a glass of water takes several minutes

Depends on what you're asking

Are you saying it's the responsibility of those presiding over people to provide clean drinking water as a human right? Then yes.

But I mean as for anything else, nature doesn't adhere to the concept of rights lol

Who's forbidding water?
Nestl CEO has, in the past at least, said that water is not a human right and believes that their buying of all water sources is not evil

Not forbidding but pretty telling when the company that strives to control all access to all the major fresh water sources in the world, doesn't believe you should have free access to drinking water.

They'd sooner let you die of thirst than give you free water if they thought they could get away with it without the public knowing

Why would nestle buy an ocean without intent to monopolize desalination?

Except that the government taxes everyone.
So the person should at least get something in return for that. Like maybe some fucking drinking water instead of a drone thats gonna go drop bombs on some Arabs on the other side of the world.

You don't have a right to be provided any material goods. Including water.

However, a state that does provide clean fresh water to its populace is much better than one that doesn't.
