The Pinal County Sheriff said he learned of this following a mandatory screening during his visit to theWH on Tuesday as he was one of several invited to Pennsylvania Avenue to attend a meeeting on law enforcement andthe signing of Trump's executive action on policing He wrote "Unfortnately, as a law enforcement official and elected leader, we do not have the luxury of staying home. This lineof work is inherently dangerous, and that is a riskwe take when we sign up for the job. Today, that risk is the COVID-19 virus" He is now self quaranting for 14 days and all those he came into contact with following the saturday event are being contacted as it's unclear if he wore a mask or followed socal distancing but it's unlikely given his rant against the lockdown or social distancing measures in the past. Lamb said last month that he found these rules to be "unconstitutional" and insisting the attempt to stop the spread had gone on for far too long andthe numbers don't justify anymore action. He said "I think people want to know that we're going to support their constitutional rights. I felt Gov. Doug Ducey pushed me into a position where i needed to make our stance clear" Doug Ducey has since changed stances and now says he will allow every local government to set their own mask wearing regulations as Democrats slammed his rseponse on Trump's views rather than public health data This occurs just as Texas and Oklahoma are seeing a surge in hospitalizations because of COVID-19 and Trump is STILL forging ahead with his huge rally there as they are not requiring people to wear masks or social distance despite a plea from health officials to delay it. Instead, Trump Supporters will have to sign a declaration that they will not SUE anyone if they catch the virus or DIE from it.
