So i just got my gf into big brother by watching Season 8 (watched it with dad when I was young and had good memories of evil dick)

We have now watched 10 as well, and are about to start on 2 I think

Do we have an air date or anything, I thought it was pushed back, we are hype to watch our first live season

July 8, apparently.

10 is one of the most amazing seasons of the show. I HIGHLY recommend the first all stars season as well (7)

I haven't watched in a few season but if they do All-Stars and have Dan onboard (hearing rumors) then I'm definitely tuning in.

Dunno what rumors youre hearing but I've watched Dan stream fairly regularly over the past couple of years (mostly when hes with Northernlion and crew but some solo as well, also his new podcast with Northernlion) and he generally tends to distance himself/not talk about Big Brother if he can help it, he also has 2 young kids and he keeps his streaming schedule pretty strict time-wise so that it doesn't detract from being able to spend time with his family so I would be surprised if he went back in.

I kind of fell out of BB a few seasons ago, i think it was during Paul's first season. It just kinda stopped being fun to watch for me. Plus by a number of tweets from Evel Dick and other former housemates, the producers have a heavy hand in urging them to do this or say this etc and sometimes rig challenges in favor of certain housemates etc. Whether you believe that or not IMO it sounds pretty legit and takes away from the show as well.

If you still like BB though, all the power to you, keep watching.

It might for a little while but not many of the people who would follow him because of BB would stick around for his gaming content, he advertises his streams on twitter all the time and the people who are following him because of BB dont make the jump to his streams, and he pulls a pretty respectable viewer count as is

At least it's hard to fix Big Brother thanks to the live feed. I also don't think production has a huge hand in it, but I only say that in hopes they didn't help kick out all the minorities last year, because that was some fucking bull shit last year

For those that didn't watch - a big group gained power early on and when they were all trying to figure out who to kick out every name out of their mouths were the minority people in the house. It got so bad that they had the actually address it on the show and then during the finale

Production fixes some of the competitions to cater them towards the strengths of the people they want to go far. Or they might give them ridiculous abilities as HOH that give them a lot of power.

They make suggestions to the players in the diary room, and if you watch the live feeds last season they would cut it. It was heavily implied that they told Jackson what to do during one of the veto competitions because he was doing it wrong....

Also another thing is that it was odd how in BB21 near the end of the season, virtually ALL of the comps had a strong physical component severely impacting Nicole's and Cliff's chances of winning... there wasn't really a mix and there weren't any mental challenges at the end like the one where they quiz about days. A little sus

Also Cliff and Nicole should have voted out Holly. Would have easily made it into all those huge BB play comps that everyone loves to see. Cliff threw his and Nicole's game smfh

Eh, I don't think so. You would think they would have fixed last year a bit more after all the horrible feedback they were getting over the 100% racism that was going on, but those racist POS remained in the game. I guess you could argue that drama = ratings, but I don't think so here. Big Brother is the 'cleanest' reality show out there because of the live feeds. I'm not saying it's 100% a shoot, but it's the closest there is

It wasn't that great, but it did provide a great reflection on racism. I think I said it earlier in this topic, a few days ago, but the very first power alliance 100% nominated every single minority in the House, and this is Day 1 [Really like Day 4 or something] and then for the next few weeks they ran the House and kicked them all out. It was so bad they even had to talk about it during some of the live shows
