so this is my first time playing the golden version
the only problem with the steam version is the animated cutscenes stuter and lag like crazy becoming unwatchable
but i can watch all the animated cutscenes on youtube as i get to them so this honestly doesnt bother me too much

and there is a fix for anime cutscene lag by using a program to force the game into only going at 30 FPS which will fix the lag issue but i dont know how to do that and i dont want to. ill just wait for it to be patched

I've been playing it for the first time; Persona 3 is the only other Persona game I've played. Really enjoying it so far the most part.

Sad that Yosuke pulled a Wakka (FFX) on me and went from seeming like a cool bro to being a bigoted creep.

I'm on Rise's dungeon right now, it's (overall) a really enjoyable game so far, if they chilled the fuck out with the homophobia and creeping on women it'd be damn near perfect. So, basically if they got rid of Yosuke >_>

I really like Kanji a lot so far, curious to see where his character arc goes.

Chie and Yukiko are both solid too; Yosuke's the only one I hate.

IDK if I'll end up liking any character more than I liked Akihiko in 3 though, love that dude.

4 has the batter cast
5 has a good story but not as good as 3 and a good cast but not as good as 4

I think the interactions between the cast are better in 4, but I think I like the individual characters from 3 better overall; That might change though, I still have a good chunk of 4 left to go.

My fix was a different one. From what I understand, it forces the game to use 4 gigs of RAM instead of 2

Maybe I'm just being a dumbass here but I never thought Yosuke was a homophobe. He just seems like the type of person who teases people all the time. Does it to Chie and Teddie quite often as well and he changes the way he teases Kanji after a specific character comes into the mix.

Not necessarily defending anything, but Yosuke is pretty accurate to the casual homophobia of teenagers at the time. But yeah, he's not a character that aged well lol When did the game come out? 2006 or so?

Kanji isn't gay, he's just confused >_> He thought he was gay because he found himself attracted to Naoto when he thought she was a guy. Plus he has feminine hobbies that he was ridiculed for, so he thought he must be gay. Otherwise he is shown to be slightly attracted to Yu but is still attracted Naoto too who he now knows is a chick.
