i gotta agree. even i have trouble with new technology. getting the PS VR set-up was mildly frustrating. they have everything numbered but there's so much pieces you gotta into the connectors ><.

lol, I actually had to tell him 3-4 times to not tell me his password. He would just start saying it out loud asking for me to confirm it, and each time I had to tell him to not tell me it and that I have no access to his password.

I can tell you've never done this type of job then. Calls like this require even more 'focus' than normal because if you don't give them explicit exact directions they will randomly find themselves in a screen you don't actually know and you gotta start all the way over again. =P

The majority of the call was trying to get this guy to type in his email, his username, his password, clicking next, then the incoming server, the username again, then the outgoing server, the username again, and then the password again. All without him having any typos.

He was also just typing 'at' instead of using @ at one point, and had to make sure he kept doing @ instead of 'at'. lol

My biggest frustration is when people just don't get the idea that the people who make the hardware or OS neither make nor support most of the software, and that tech support lines are for fixing things, not hour-long tutorials.
