Who is being a white knight. they are allowed to be upset that their form of income is now gone and they have to find a new one. everyone would feel that no matter what job. You just seem to have a vendetta against these people because of the type of work it was.

Yea Microsoft should have let mixer keep running while its burning money because some people make a living off it.

They took a L, now they gotta bounce back. Plenty of low level entertainers are making zero money right now due to COVID. Think about low level comedians who went to 500 stand ups spots a night doing nothing now. Musicians who did open mics or opened for bigger acts. Zero for them as well. It sucks but with those gigs you gotta hustle hard.

They can but its no easy moving an audience and reestablishing, especially in this area, so i can fully understand them feeling anxiety in that regard. They made the jump because of promises that weren't kept. A risk on their part but still a shitty feeling situation to be in.

That's better notice then you'd get from most failed startups. Hell, they'd likely have you work for free and tell you they were just waiting on new funding that they totally have lined up.

From what i remember it was being billed as the next big thing to Twitch. they got a bunch of big name Twitch streams to jump over. I remember seeing videos of people explaining why they switched or chose to stay on twitch. The people in the OP weren't paid big bucks to switch over to Mixer, they are simply people who chose to build their comunity there.

If you're streaming right(especially full time) there's a lot of back end that can approach timelines that average a typical work week or even longer.

Espeicslly if you're juggling Twitter, YouTube, twitch/mixer/Facebook, etc and doubly so if you have nobody doing your editing and stuff.

I will offer a defense in that maybe they didn't want to stream on twitch because it's hard to stand out there, especially if you only have interest in streaming a bigger game.

Mixer seemed like a good break in point for smaller streamers to gain a loyal following.
