Covid 19 cases exist regardless of testing being done or not. Reducing testing does not change reality.

I don't know if you are saying this to defend less tests, but if you are then that hurts our odds of fighting this. Tracing is how every country has beaten this, you can't trace without tests. It's really that simple.

It's not about abortion. It's about racism and nationalism. It's about class warfare and patriarchy. People aren't voting over memes like the internet might have you believe. They're not voting on abortion. They're voting because they want Trump to hurt certain people.

There's gotta be overlap. I wouldn't put it against people who say that to outright lie but I do think there are some people who struggle with it (very briefly). I've seen how these people operate in the Bible belt and they're serious. They're probably all the other stuff, too, of course.

It's not about abortion. It's about racism and nationalism. It's about class warfare and patriarchy. People aren't voting over memes like the internet might have you believe. They're not voting on abortion. They're voting because they want Trump to hurt certain people.

I can only really speak from personal experience, but there are a truly frightening number of people around here (rural Missouri) that consider absolutely nothing except abortion stance when voting for a candidate. It's the reason I don't think Roe v. Wade will ever be overturned. That voting bloc is just too influential.

Except thats not true at all. Testing is the data which can lead to numerous results, it just depends on what you do with the data. Simply having it be a stat isnt going to result in less sick people. Using it for contact tracing, pro-active measures, quarantining people, and learning additional data from testing can greatly impact how everyone approaches the situation. That all helps result in less spread.

I would permit that if no one uses the data then it won't have an impact, but that the data itself is absolutely critical and to dismiss its importance is sabotage.
