Anyone else would be a better presidential candidate that has ran. Biden won the nomination and even if you're not a fan of his, the bigger picture is getting Trump out of office.

Since Biden is the most popular, a vote against Biden is a vote to keep Trump in office. So anyone against Trump and thinks they're sticking it to Biden by not voting for him is really giving a vote to Trump no matter if your vote isn't for either. So please don't be that person.

There is always next time though. 4 years of Biden is always just an option for the next better candidate. We just need to get Trump out of office.

Disagree. Bidens already shown hes open to more progressive platforms. Plus, the president isnt the SOLE source for progressive platform change. Winning majority of the house and senate is really what will bring about change in the US, not just the president.

He just renewed the call to cancel student loan debt like 3 days ago.

They didn't change when Trump actually won. We aren't getting any reasonable changes for another like 15 years until the current crop of Democrats all die.

Biden will make things a little better, but probably not much.

"Not voting Biden is Ackchyually a vote for Trump"
"Not voting Trump is Ackchyually a vote for Biden"

So if you vote third party you're voting for the third party candidate, Trump, and Biden. And voting three times is what we call voter fraud.

That's the goal for democrats. I'd like to see actual improvements, which democrats are not concerned with. It's just a matter of appearance with them, which they demonstrated by licking George W Bush's war ciminal ass.

"Yeah but at least Biden isn't Trump!!"

Don't forget that Trump came after eight years of Obama, another impotent loser who got nothing done. Trump is only a symptom of several deep underlying issues in this country. Merely changing the figurehead will not solve these problems.

Why'd America let him become the president in the first place if they don't want his idiocy to ruin this trashy country?

Because the 2 party system broken America and people voted for Trump simply because he was a republican.

You know he only won the electoral college by 80k votes spread across 3 states? Thats a TINY percentage of the total number of people who voted in 2016.

This is the actual flaw in the electoral system. It puts too much weight on flip-floppy states, while the bastions are ignored.

i'll continue to vote 3rd party until democrats put forth someone worth my vote or they decide to fix voting laws and eliminate first past the post voting.

That wasn't the goal in 2016. We didn't fully know what would happen if Trump became president. If was simply a lesser of 2 evils situation that became a mistake.

At a time that's so important to get Trump out of office how is it hard to vote for the most popular candidate to achieve that?

https://youtu.be/MykMQfmLIro

let me know when i can vote for the most popular, instead of the 'least bad', because i will not exercise my right to vote for a candidate who will not make the country better but will only serve his corporate overords. So I will once again vote 3rd party until I can vote for a candidate I actually believe wants to make the country better for the people. I will never vote for someone because they aren't someone else.

Then it seems you're contributing to Trump remaining in office and are okay with that. I agree with voting 3rd party if you don't like a candidate to show that candidate has support in the future, but now it's pretty important to get rid of an absolute evil in the office.

The "problem" is that we've been indoctrinated by a busted ass two-party system where instead of voting for somebody who will actually better the country, we instead vote for the guy that will harm it less. You guys don't seem to fucking get that every crooked ass politician, whether red or blue, is COUNTING on you to play this game. Our politicians don't have to actually try, as long as the other guy fucks up enough.

And we're never going to break free of it as long as we keep playing into this system. We need a total dismantlement of it, but people are scared to think outside the box of American politics.

Nah. They do this every single cycle, they force you to vote for someone who you disagree with on literally everything just because the other guy is 10x worse. I'm tired of choosing between the worst of two bad options.

This year, I'm writing in a candidate that shares my values. If Trump wins, it's not my fault. It's the DNC's fault for constantly giving us candidates we don't care about. Who knows, maybe they'll lose a couple elections and get sick of it, finally stop forcing through establishment candidates nobody likes or wants.
