My family and I felt the entire medical team failed miserably and treated him and my family like shit (we are POC/puerto rican). The transplant was part of a clinical trial they signed off on so basically suing them wasn't an option. I was so angry that I got obsessed and started doing research about medical malpractice and stumbled upon those studies.
