Simply put the mother has no other reasons to not want the child than "I don't want this child"

The child is conceived between two, loving level-headed individuals and the mother does not wish to carry the unborn fetus to term because she doesn't want a child. She is financially stable. She is mentally sound. She has a social support network. Should she legally be allowed to abort that child?

As long as it's before the 3rd trimester. 3rd trimester abortions are unjustifiable unless it's to save the life of the mother.

What if you only allowed a mother to abort a child once in non-rape non-incest circumstances, then just sterilize the person who got the abortion? Would anybody agree to a compromise so extreme?

Might as well just mandate giving up the baby for for adoption after it is born instead of doing something that extreme

I don't agree that something being necessary makes it great.

I don't personally support it (unless the mother's life is in danger otherwise) but it shouldn't be illegal.

I thought of your comment from earlier when making this poll. Is this set of options more to your liking even though it may pigeon hole someone into saying "her body her choice" when they may not fully agree with said opinion?

I'd vastly prefer not aborting unless necessary, but i realize its none of my business or the law's business, and definitely support it being done safely.

I'm not a fan of abortions. I understand that some pregnancies are high risk or were conceived through rape. I also understand that everyone is not financially or mentally stable enough to raise a child. You can't make women tell whether they fot under any of those categories though. People need to learn that sometimes you need to mind your business.

Nvm I think I remember you if it was about making yes or no polls. To answer your question, yes this poll is a step in the right direction but I still believe a simple yes or no would yield more precise results. Tbh I think what you wanted to go for was

Poll question: Should non-rape, non-incestuous Abortion be a crime?

Options: Yes
No

Oh yes. Abortions are great and should be freely accessible
They aren't great, they are necessary a lot of the time. It's not a fucking get out of jail free card.

Do mens boots taste good?
You don't know a damn thing. You're a faux-feminist that has no idea what it means to be one. You're ignorant on nearly every issue and take the extreme hoping it makes you look like what you claim to be but you just look foolish. Maybe you should stick to crying about why people hate you while lacking all sense of self-reflection and leave the actual conversations to the adults.

Abortions should be available but they shouldn't be passed out like amusement park rides especially past a certain point. I know I'm particularly edgy and maybe brainless sometimes but really, we're done here.

Children should not be framed as punishments. It is a societal good to not force unwanted babies into existence.

True, I said they should be available but the way she described them was odious to me. It's a real decision that needs to be made and it should be treated as such.

If we lived in a utopia in which every person could be granted happiness, I'd be against it, but that's impossible. In the real world, it's the choice of the person burdened with it. The only thing I'm against is making abortion seem casual. We shouldn't shame it or overly stigmatize it, but we shouldn't develop a culture where everyone sees it as a complete non-thing. The staunch "it's murder" people are just as bad as the literal "woo-hoo abortion!" people in my opinion.

I agree, and this is well put. I just feel like if you don't want kids you should be taking a lot of steps to prevent that before it comes down to needing an abortion. That's a responsibility both sexual partners can share.

It's not my place to say whether or not any individual woman should get an abortion and I view them as an essential medical service, but I don't have to like it as a practice or a process and not liking it doesn't make me not a feminist.

I'm uncomfortable with it and ideally they wouldn't be needed, but it's not my place or the government's to dictate what people do with their own bodies. Also making abortion illegal has major risks with people seeking out alternative methods.

I personally don't like it, but I wouldn't force my opinion on anyone. I'm not a woman, I respect that this is their decision and I should have no say on the matter, it just doesn't sit well with me. So I'm pro choice, but I feel bad about it.
