Overall I really liked the story and it gave me a lot to think about. One way it surprised me was my feelings towards Abby. Call me a dirty philistine if you must, but I honestly cant remember ever feeling the way I do about Abby as a character in any medium. Its not like a traditional villain where theyre either sympathetic or get a redemption arc. I still hate her, but I also feel a great deal of empathy, and a while lot of pity as well. By the end I just wanted Ellie to leave her be - and it made me think, how much is enough? How much suffering would she have to go through to make it right or to pay the price?

Like I said its such a strange mix of emotions that I dont think Ive ever felt towards a character before - at least not in quite the same way.

I wished the whole game was abby to be honest. Game would have been perfect then. Still, i'd give it 10/10.

Cant say I agree, but if thats what would peel your banana then who am I to disagree?

I was glad to get more Ellie and I think all the flashbacks are so brilliant - particularly the discussions about Joels lie. They felt very real, as did Ellies overall reaction/s.

I honestly feel the gameplay is seriously underrated. Peeps just dont appreciate.

Yeah, I enjoyed the story overall and thought the presentation was absolutely top-notch as well. Great acting, great visuals, all great. I had a problem with a couple components of it like the way they killed Joel ffs, and as a narrative I don't think it was great or anything, but most of the individual pieces were done with such polish that it was still a great experience.

Its almost like people hyper focus on the narrative to a sequel of a game universally praised for its narrative and expect the same quality.

It's a game driven by the characters and story.

But anyway, I believe ND wanted people to be conflicted. It's by design. But TBH, they should have known more people would be blindly loyal to Joel. No matter what kind of person Joel is, a full game using him would build an invested bond between him and the audience.

It really is an impressive piece of work for all those reasons, particularly because of how long it is too. I was surprised since I expected only like 10 hours. Turns out it was about 25.

yea, playing as Abby had me caring about her and her friends, and I dug her redemption arc.
