Yes. Its the difference between Hispanic and Latino. Hispanic is spanish speaking and latino is latin America descent. So if you have heritage from spain you're hispanic but not latino, and if you're from Brazil youre latino/latina but not hispanic. If you're from Mexico youre both hispanic and latino

He's Mexican so he's both hispanic and latino. Same with Louis CK. Even though they're white. A black person in the UK is black but he's not African American. Race is a different thing from heritage

I didn't even know she is Hispanic. I literally not once have ever heard this mentioned or heard her speak a single word of Spanish in my life. Plus I have my doubts about this to be honest. I mean she is a bit of an attention whore and her singing career is essentially non-existent at this point, so it seems like a believable enough story to make up at this time to get attention.

Spain isn't part of Latin America, its part of Europe. So he isn't Latino. Kinda like I too have a Spanish last name with family from a Spanish colony (canary islands) but that doesn't make me latino

Im pretty sure its common for the higher ups to try and mold these young talents to fit whatever image they think will sell better.
